Exhibition event.
Donald's work is based on his reactions to the landscape, both natural and man made, producing work which lies somewhere between abstract and representational. Its basis in accurately observed features emphasises the particular, conveying something of the original stimulus through the images created.
Lesley Turner's paintings focus on unusual abstract qualities of the area's countryside, architecture and industrial heritage. She enjoys transferring her ideas into thought provoking visual experiences, influenced by her favourite artists, Picasso, Matisse, Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely.
